1,250 m2 expansion to London City data centre.
Converting a vacant floor to expand capacity at Interxion’s London City data centre was a real test for our design and project monitoring services. Meticulous planning avoided interruption to live systems in other parts of the building. We also needed to ensure that upgraded external plant did not exceed local authority noise levels for nearby residents.
The new floor provides 1,250m² of premium equipped data centre space, some of the highest power density infrastructure available in the City of London. With 2kW per m² capacity, N+1 redundancy and free air-cooling as standard, plus very advanced alarm and monitoring systems, flexibility for future upgrades is built in.
Completed on time and on budget, we have since supported the client in preparing concepts on two other sites, in Dublin and London, and have carried out a Europe wide audit of the client’s entire facility portfolio.
